A fantastic opportunity for a Production Supervisor has arisen within a well known chilled food manufacturer in Warwickshire. This role includes personal headroom to progress into a managerial role within the business so if you are looking for development, then this could be for you!

Main Responsibilities:
To ensure all requirements are produced to specification, correctly labelled, in accordance to customer requirements; To ensure that ingredients are issued and returned correctly;
Internal performance measurement & feedback systems;
Other standard business KPIs including H&S and cost controls;
These systems are to be highly credible and presented in robust formats so they become a fundamental influence on departmental activity across all functions
To supervise a small team which compromise of Line Operatives, Line Service, Process Controller and Machine Minder and build strong working relationships with other disciplines within the business;
Demonstrates clear leadership of the line, positively motivates and supports all direct reports to perform to the best of their ability;

Key Skills Required
The ideal candidate will ideally have experience of working within a supervisory capacity preferably in chilled production, short shelf life product environment, be qualified to Food Hygiene Level 2 and experience of measuring and influencing KPIs.
You will also have or be prepared to gain the following qualifications:
Food Hygiene Level 3 or above
HACCP Level 2 or above
Supervisory/Team Leading Qualification Level 2 or above
IOSH Managing Safety or equivalent/above

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Production Shift Manager to join a chilled food manufacturing company based in the west midlands area.

Main Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager the incumbent will be accountable for 250 employees responsible for the manufacturing of high quality products through the use of modern lean production techniques and philosophies with the aim of achieving ‘world class’ standards and exceeding both internal and external customer requirements.
You will be directly responsible for training/coaching employees to achieve consistent quality in line with the customer.
The incumbent will have a number of Shift managers and Team Leaders reporting to them across manual and automated lines. Therefore it is also essential to have experience of automation.
The position is accountable for Production 7 days a week.
To manage the operations within the bounds of good manufacturing practice that guarantee food safety legislation is adhered to and meet the quality standards set by the business.
To manage the production operations in a manner that supports efficient running in order to meet agreed budgeted levels of expenditure on materials and labour.

Key Skills Required
Ideally degree qualified you will have experience of managing production operations of a similar nature.
You must be able to demonstrate previous success in improving the performance of a factory through effective leadership and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will be committed about creating a culture of continuous improvement.
High Care chilled foods and short shelf life manufacturing experience is essential.
Experience of managing teams of 100-200 people.
